This is just an attempt to improve gd content.. basically for myself.. and for anyone who finds benefit.. comments are most welcome
while participating/ observing few mocks i realised if i had the points, i could grab the chance and make them..

Some do's and dont's

- Understanding the topic wrong..
eg.1 topic was should women reservation be there?
most of the gd surrounded the recent women reservation bill... integrities. but that was not required. should have been a general discussion on whether reservation is required or no
so supporters could have given the eg of women reservation in panchayats and how women have made a difference there, whereas opponents could have delved into importance of merit, case of rabri devi (dummy on behalf of Lalu) etc.

eg 2. Should condom vending machines be installed in senior colleges?
diverted more to sex education should be given in colleges.. to prevent bla bla..
1st question why should CVM be installed.. its targetted to those who are already engaging in sex, who are embarased to buy it from a local chemist as pre marital sex is mostly hidden. Also these machines are not installed in public area (not some place too evident on the campus :assumed by most in the GD)
SO, ideally there should not be much discussion on whether sex education is required, its embarassing to install such machines in colleges, how it could spoil reputation of the college. etc etc.

- Use as many examples as possible, look at the topic from as many perspectives as possible.

- Its a discussion so you can discuss pros and cons, its not absolutely required that you take a stand.

- Dont counter question as far as possible.

- Talk with confidence.. Give statistics that you are pretty confident of. A little bit here and teher is ok, but no stats if not sure. but stats does make a good impression, so mug some stats..

- Dont get too emotional with any point.
